WSU has now passed ISUr on field goal percentage defense. WSU is #3 and ISUr #5 in the nation.

When you combine that defense with this potent offense, no wonder they're killing everyone. I believe the Shox are better this year than last year as they don't have the deficiencies on offense that exposed them a year ago.

You're right about that. Last year we had 6'5" Evan Wessel at power forward and Anton Grady, who had the knees of a 45 year old man at center. Shaq was still a young fouling machine that was only good for 10 mpg. We had a lot of guys improve their games this year (Kelly, Morris, Frankamp and Nurger in particular) plus the addition of Shamet and Willis, our roster has upgraded overall even though we lost 2 NBA guards. What has really put this team on the right path was solidifying our 2 guard spots with Shamet and Frankamp.

Someone else said "You can't lose 2 NBA Guards and maintain unless you fill those spots with NBA guards".

I don't think anyone could convince me at this point that Shamet doesn't have NBA Potential. 6'4 ridiculously athletic PG Shooting 45% from 3, 83% from the line, and a 3 to 1 Assist to TO ratio? He's going to get looks.

I call it like I see it. In all honesty, Northern Iowa basketball is probably my 2nd most hated sports team. Still, I shouldn't have to explain why I am picking UNI and believe they are better than anyone is giving them credit for. If you guys think I am wrong, so be it. I don't like cdizzle at all, but the fact that he didn't take the time to call me out, showed me that I might want to just show a bit of class and give him the nod on that one.

How bout this, tell me why you are picking Indiana State? If you feel my taking UNI is so bad, tell me why you think the trees get it done. I don't think I have a read a real reason on why anyone is picking Indiana State. That's a much better discussion than, "oh he just loves UNI."

Never said that Indiana State was going to win, but I suggested it is not a slam dunk as you implied with how this game was going to end up. When one person continues to overvalue UNI due to the coach and their history as a team, despite the stats opposing it, then I was simply looking out for you.

From a betting perspective, it's a game to stay away from, given it's on the road and with their major struggles on the offensive end (again #298 Kenpom ranking on offense).

Dude, if are betting on sports, nothing is a slam dunk. When you see a team that has been winning every game against the other 7 for the last month, playing probably the worst team in the league and has a superior coach(even though I think Lansing is pretty decent) that's a pretty easy game to take. Jacobson teams are usually playing some of their best basketball in February/March anyways. I am sorry, but if you had to bet the game, you are probably taking Northern Iowa.

I'm clearly on record that I despise everything UNI, but there is zero chance you could get me to take Indiana State in this game. It's either UNI or no bet IMO...just my two cents though.

So, against anyone not named Wichita State or Illinois State UNI is 9-0 over the last 42 days.

Granted, that's ignoring the historical date, which shows between Jan 20th and Arch Madness UNI wins 72% of it's games.

It'd be smarter to bring UNI's record in the state of Indiana as a justification for not picking UNI, more than "THEY DON'T HAVE ADAM KOCH ANYMORE". I'd hate to do your smack talking for you though
