Programs aren't judged based on cropped-out snipits of time. Programs are judged on, guess what, what they've done as a program.

You're an insult to the word "obtuse".

According to Aces1982 logic, WSU has a better program than Indiana since 2013.

Works for me.

funny he can't even get his facts correct.

4 NCAA
2 Conference tournament Champions
1 Sweet 16

Of course he starts it at 1985 so instead of say 1980 because u would have to add in another

1 NCAA
1 Elite 8
2 MVC Regular season Championships

so you really have:

5 NCAA
1 S-16
1 Elite 8
3 Regular Season Champions
2 tournament Champion

Or from 1980 to Present
NIT Championship
10 NCAA Appearances
2 S-16
1 Elite 8
1 Final 4
7 Regular Season Champions
4 MVC tournament Champions

I mean adding years on to his time frame doesn't really change anything... 25 years is a quarter century and a pretty fair amount of time to measure by. What happened before doesn't change the count during the 25 year stretch (though i understand that count was a little off and you corrected it). I mean if we wanna play with times lines ;).

Team A: 1 National championship
Team B,C,D,E,F,G,H,I,J: Zero National Championships

Just kidding of course. Everyone's gonna defend their team and what those times mean to them. I also know that i didn't watch any of those teams, but based on the results alone it's a fair point of comparison to bring up. Also this thread completely fell apart hahahaha.

Ain't that the truth. WSU fans on the defense.

Too bad their team is the worst team in the MVC

Wouldn't have to be on the defensive, if there wasn't helmetheads going on the offensive.

But of course you knew that. You just have to get back to your normal WSU fan does everything wrong routine.

And your last line made about as much sense as Aces1982 logic.

In the here and now, which is over the last few seasons in my mind, it's Wichita State head and shoulders above the rest. Northern Iowa would rank second, and then after that honestly, the rest is grasping at straws arguing over which straw is the shortest. I don't like the fact my team is arguing over who has the shortest straw, and all those programs might not be created equal, however I believe the other 8 are a lot closer program wise these last few season than either of those two.

The NIT and Final Four still feel fresh in my mind, whereas the run by SIU 10 years ago or so doesn't. To me if you use the word program it's a year in, year out threat to make the NCAA Tournament.

The Indiana stuff is for me anyway a product of watching Indiana on a regular basis as a kid (late 80s-early 90s) when IU games were on all across the state and pretty much every kid in the state wanted to play for Knight.....Marshall fits that hard nosed, tough, well coached style that I think would be very revered by Indiana fans. That's why if I was the AD at Indiana, Marshall would be my first call, mostly because I don't think Stevens is leaving Boston anytime soon and he as well would be a great hire, both would win the press conference if you will.

I would argue that despite not making the NCAA 64 ISUr is closer to the top two than being grouped
with the other 8 as you suggest. Here are the totals of 20 Win seasons vs. Under .500 records for each of the Valley schools for the past 10 years.

Note: Did not include Loyola since they haven't been around that long.

WSU: 8 20+ vs. 1 U.500
UNI: 7 vs. 1
ILS: 6 vs. 1
UE: 3 vs. 4
MSU: 3 vs. 4
INS: 2 vs. 5
BU: 2 vs. 6
SIU: 1 vs. 6
DRA: 1 vs. 7

If you want to talk about how the Valley has become a 1 bid league that is driving Marshall/Shockers away look no further than the lack of success of ISUb, BU and SIU over the past 10 years!
