Sounds like Wichita St to the AAC... Who gets an Invite?

Gregg Marshall and the Wichita State AD is dropping every hint that they are leaving the MVC & there are very strong rumors that they are leaving to join the AAC (as a BBall only member). A huge blow to the MVC.

So who gets the invite to the MVC? People mention the Dakota schools but if the Conf HQ does that then that would just a be a market play & not the right move in imo. School will likely come the Summit or the Horizon. More likely the Horizon. I personally think Valpo is the best fit.

I didn't think a school could be a basketball only member of any league?

If Valpo is the best option...I say roll with 9 teams for now. Last two additions have been low budget
Privates. Really can't afford to weaken the league any further or there will be a mass exodus!

I think UIC would be at the top of the list.

I'm all in on the Dakotas.

I have no issue taking the three that play in the MVCF league.

South Dakota, SD State and ND State.

I like Valpo, they've had a lot of recent success, though it'll be interesting to see where they are next season after losing one of their best players ever in Alec Peters. UIC is a team that's definitely improving rapidly under Steve Mclain and would be a dark horse pick to win the horizon next year. Either Dakota school would be good by me.

Anyone like any schools from the MAC? They may be too far east but Akron wouldn't be the worst team to add.

Let's just take Illinois. Maybe they can actually compete to win something this way

MAC schools aren't coming. They have D1 football.

Basketball only is just another way of saying non-football.
