MVC targeting Valpo & Murray State to create 11 team league

UNI finished under .500 last year. Worst team since 2001.
SDSU won the Summit League title and made the NCAA tournament from the Summit. SDSU has been the class of the Summit for a while
UNI beat South Dakota State by 28 - and should have been by over 40 had the bench not emptied when it did.

yea UNI. sdsu started out 2-14 then won 9 of 10 at the end.

ndsu started out 20-8 then faltered at the end.


the stats don't lie. last 5 years NDSU/SDSU been at the top of the MVC RPI wise. (taking out WSU, CU)

There are 3 USA Continental states that I have not visited and two of the three are OR and WA and I plan on visiting them in the next few years (maybe even this summer). The other is ND and it isn't on my docket.

yea, whens the last time more than 50 fans from Evansville or Bradley went to watch a game in Drake ? i mean seriously... even Indiana University shows up to Minnesota with 50 fans. So don't give me this "travelling fanbase on a thursday night crap"

I think NDSU/SDSU have a quality product. Pretty good fan base and some $$$. All good things. I just think basketball first programs like Valpo and Murray State are more desireable to what is, generally, a basketball first league.
