The MVC's interest in Omaha is a head scratcher IMO. It's the equivalent of the A10 invading the MVC, then picking Evansville. Huh?

Being equivalent to Evansville isn't a great way to ingratiate themselves to the MVC.

The last two years without Prohm as the coach have not been the best for Murray that is for sure. The early years of Kennedy were a little lean then he got them going the right direction. Prohm kept it going for a few years, and then the last two without him are quite lean again. However, they have consistently been fairly decent in the OVC, and usually have a coach who moves up. Which maybe with an improved conference they could pay more and keep them longer.

Curious to see what happens going forward.

Herd is a newbie who apparently has no clue that UE, along with Loyola has more affiliations with current members of the A-10 than any other Valley team. I would assume both, as well as Bradley, would be on any short list the A-10 may have about expansion, especially if they are looking to fill the gap between the rest of the league and SLU. I guess Herd has no clue that the A-10 consists of smaller private schools in mid to large markets, and that Evansville..oh never mind.

It also appears uniftw is working hard to audition to replace baller-championz on the board. So much for intellectual posting returning to the board. Baller unfortunately lucked into being able to back up some of his snarky d-baggery. Teachers College of Northern Iowa at Frostbite Falls is not head and shoulders above any of the other 8 teams in the league. a nice run the last 10 or so years, but little before that, a very small market and fanbase. Every school in this league has had nice periods, along with plumments back to earth. There is no reason to not expect the same at UNI.

While we are at it, I am also curious to the personal vendetta that dawgbit obviously has against Murray? It's obviously personal without a basis of logic involved.

I don't mind some good ole smack talking, but some of this is just ridiculous. If there is a benefit to Wichita leaving, is that for the first time in some time, ALL 9 members of this conference are in a position to challenge. Throw two very compatible programs like Murray and Valpo, and this league could have some of the best parity of any conference going. The Valley of Death could return.

Actual basketball question here---

What do Murray and Valpo have on their OOC schedules at this point for next year?

Speaking of which, why doesn't the MVC invite Wossamotta U.?

Brilliantly played. You win the board today!

Middle Tennessee, Detroit Mercy, and Wright State are on the schedule, as are SIU, ISUr, and Evansville. We try to play one SEC team per year minimum and are trying to get into or organize a MTE. However, some of this is obviously in flux until we know who our conference mates are.

Thanks!

I'm starting to think that if/when Murray is invited, it'll be for 2018-19 because its way too late in the game to basically ask you to build an entire OOC schedule in 3 months. If you join for next year, you lose 3 games right off the bat.

Valpo comes next year, Murray the year after. I don't see great momentum for adding a 12th right away. The other thing I've heard is that the coaches aren't real enthused with a 20 game league schedule and would rather stay at 18 with two single plays, but we know that's going to be an ADs decision and that coaches aren't the final word.
