Here's your answer. If they want 12 but only sure on 11...then stay at 11!

For 12th team I'd rank them UTA/Wright St/Oakland/UALR/Oral Bobs

If Murray State and Valpo are 10 and 11 - I am for in order Wright State, Northern Kentucky, UALR or UTA.
I have little interest in UW-Milw, Oakland, the Dakota clan.
I have no interest in Grand Canyon, NM State, SIUE or UMKC.

What's wrong with Oakland?

Nothing wrong with Oakland I just prefer Wright State and Northern KY first then UALR or UTA.

I guess I had to practice baseball too long in the cold including snow flurries that I would think all outdoor sports are better served with UALR or UTA over Oakland.

If you figure that Murray and Valpo are in, it is an impressive "foot print".

Other than UIC the 12th school would be on an outlier, maybe only marginally.

Ok, PantherU sold me on Milwaukee as 12. I still favor 11 with Murray & Valpo. But if the league insists on 12, I could probably acquiesce on anyone but Omaha.

Longtime Valley fan here, and for the life of me I can't understand the fascination with Valpo (think there best days are behind them). I'd be looking at Oakland, Milwaukee then after those 2 possibly UIC.

Tired of chasing after Belmont, hope the MVC door is closing on them for good.

Believe the Valley has a chance to strengthen itself with a move on picking up 3 strong programs (with potential) and becoming a 12 team league.

Alright, GO MVC!!

Milwaukee has to show more than what they have outside of the Bo Ryan and Bruce Pearl days. After reclassifying to DI, they were absolute garbage in the 1990's, and under Jeter, they were a 4th place Horizon team at best.

Good school, well-resourced and competitive in recent years, but they were lucky for a stretch of 7 or so years. But outside of that, woof.

I can live with them because they aren't terrible, but I'm not convinced they're as good as they appear. If I had to take another Horizon team, I'd put Wright and even Northern Kentucky at the top of the list well before Milwaukee.

Not impressed with Valpo but thinks UIC would be a good add.

Part of me wants the valley to sit at 11 for a couple years, and just send a message to everyone: best basketball program in the next couple years gets an invite. If no program is an immediate impact, let's not burn that spot right away.

Okay, UNI fan, this f****** guy has been a fan of the Valley longer than you've probably been alive, and I stand by my thoughts.

I know this is an opinion MVC message board, but there is no need to be a freaking jerk when a fan has differing opinions that you do o' great UNI fan.

ROCK ON VALLEY!
