Seems like a number of us representing current MVC schools are practicing to see if we can be the next shocker-like fan base and be as uppity as possible in responding to potential new members. Don't get me wrong, I want us to choose the best possible candidates for inclusion in the league, and a poster like lake bison deserve everything they get when they start getting all snotty because it doesn't appear like the league is looking their way. But except for Drake and Bradley the rest of the Universities in the conference were in the same position many of the schools we are talking about now are, coming from lower level D-1 conferences, perhaps with lesser facilities, and just looking for that opportunity for our school to move up and improve it's status.

There's a lot to be proud of and protective of in extending an opportunity to join the MVC, but no matter who ends up getting the invite, we have to realize will come with some risk and some areas that need improving. We all did. Pointing out concerns is one thing, acting arrogant and discounting of a potential member is unnecessary imo . Whomever gets the invite won't meet with all of our immediate wild endorsement; hell we don't endorse each other all that well most of the time. But if we really want this board to be a place of more positive discussion [and yes civil debate] than the constant pissing match it's been the last couple years, now is probably a good time to start.
