2. Missouri State – Enough talent to overcome some iffy coaching.
3. Loyola – Nothing flashy. Solid coach and solid recruiting.
4. Bradley – Wardle’s Baby Braves are growing up.
5. Northern Iowa – A+ coaching keeps them in the upper tier.
6. Murray State – Nice program, not ready for upper division MVC.
7. Valparaiso – See Murray State.
8. Southern Illinois – Will Berruh’s Bad Dogs stay off the treadmill?
9. Indiana State – Flirting with MVC relevance, but not quite there.
10. Evansville – Oh, Marty.
11. Drake – Rebuilding. Again.

I'd take Murray St higher than that if I were a betting man.

I thought you might. This pick is based on last year's finish for you guys and the teams ahead. Murray will do well in the MVC, for sure. Might take a season or 2.

We lost a ton of close games last year but return a top 25 (in the nation) scorer and a double-double machine. I would expect with Stark, Miller, and the late season emergence of Dupree we would do much better than last season.

I wonder how ISUr does with all their defections. Are they still the favorites? Assuming Alize Johnson returns to Springfield I would think they are the favorites.

Illinois State and Missouri State are still the favorites. ISU is loaded!
Will be the typical Muller team of long athletic players but Fayne will be surrounded
by legitimate dead eye shooters.
