Wait - did Teddy actually "graduate"?

ISU is actually making Teddy take summer classes before they "give" him his degree.

Wichita State: Proof they will accept LITERALLY anyone into their college

95% .. not 100% which is what your statement is implying. It's also pretty much equal to the other 2 state colleges in Kansas.

I....he is about the ulitmate proof that academics for athletics is a joke many places.

He was a non-qualifier out of high school due to grades.
He couldn't get another year at Illinois State because he was unable to graduate on time, and Illinois State was unable to keep him on track to graduate on time. 100% Academics related. It's following the APR guidelines. Basically, he wasn't a good enough student.

He will "graduate" less than a month before apparently now being a graduate level student at Boston College - where he will never finish his MA degree because chances are he won't go to a single class after December.

"ISU is going to give him a degree. Quit being a meanie and lying by saying that ISU is going to give him a degree!!!"

It's hard to keep up with the logic of some of these ISU fans.

Hawkins is a typical college basketball athlete. All of these "one and dones", does anyone honestly think they care about classes??

Hawkins just happens to be in the same mold as them, just not nearly as talented.

PS - 95% is just about every single applicant except the very bottom. You are arguing semantics on the final 5% who probably graduated at the very bottom of their high school class and/or got like a 10 on the ACT.

Because he is the first D1 Athlete to ever be an athlete first and a student a distant second??

His problems were more related to his legal troubles. There are countless examples of basketball players who aren't good students across D1.

lol

Wichita State's 25th percentile range on the ACT is 21 and its 75th percentile range is 26. Its average is 23.

Illinois State's 25th percentile range on the ACT is 22 and its 75th percentile range is 26. Its average is 24.

Clearly, both are academic supernovas and broad generalizations asserting superiority (as opposed to justifiably LOLing at an isolated case of an utter imbecile receiving a degree) are valid. And yes, if you have ever spoken to Hawkins, you are aware he is an imbecile who would be lucky to count change at McDonald's competency levels. WSU had our fair share of comparable shitheads in the 90s for sake of fairness.

Academic sissy fights among MVC public schools are an embarrassment and should be avoided at all costs.
