Had to do a double-take when I saw all the scores after getting home tonight. Couldn't believe it on first glance. Well done, Valley!

What an opening night. This was better than best case scenario. ISU blowing out bigger brother is Awesome! SIU winning on the road easily without 3 starters? Incredible. MSU getting a good road win at a tough Western Kentucky too! Everyone else doing what they are supposed to do.

Here's hoping for a 3-0 day today!

Congrats to the Valley on a great opening night! Keep the wins coming. Gregg Marshall made a point of asking the TV crew if they saw that Indiana State destroyed Indiana. He had a wry smile on his face!

5-3 start vs D1. I think everyone has a chance except UNI though (sorry Panthers).

I doubt that Indiana St has a chance against the Hoosiers.

Sycs beat the Illini and were only down 3 to #20 Purdue at halftime. Also can't forget that Butler win last year. I give em a chance.

Just a chance ;)

Any newcomers really show anything for you all?

Krutwig showed out in his debut as a freshmen. 17 points 7 boards 2 assists and a block in only 17 minutes(!!) off the bench; think he’s gonna be a real stud. Marques Townes also looked great going for 15 5 and 4 kind of taking over Milts role. Loyola controlled most of the game, especially in the second half. Wright State did hit two crazy threes in the last 30 seconds to make it interesting in the end which is concerning; but still a pretty good showing.

People focus on the loss of Lee, Hawkins, and McIntosh, but Tony Wills was the captain of that defense that kept them is so many games during cold streaks. This year's team is going to have an entirely different profile and personality, and I think many of the optimistic Redbird fans are taking defense for granted.
