I watched the first half of the Bradley-DU game. I was really impressed with the Gargoyles' rebounding. Shooting was not so impressive. Shot 31% from the floor in the half.

Bradley struggling to but DU away, up 4 with 4 to play. 20 second-chance points keeping Gargoyles in the game.

Bradley 61, Delaware 53

Van Bree with 15 points and Thomas with 7 points,10 boards, 2 steals and 2 blocks. Bar with 10/6 after an awful first game.

Sloppy game in Peoria. Bradley has a ways to go, but any win is good especially after last year's game against this opponent.

Bradley played a bunch of guys and it paid off at the end since Delaware had 4 guys play 30+ minutes and looked tired at the end. I think it was tied at 43 before Bradley hit some threes and won.

Bradley got hammered by Delaware the last two seasons-and at home last season. So a good win.

It wasn't pretty but that was a needed win and Bradley got it. Watching this team early on is liking watching a 1999-2000 Jim Molinari team. To a T. Really good defensively, don't turn it over a ton, rebound and struggle to score sometimes.

The Bradley depth helped a lot. 2-0 is 2-0.

I've caught parts of both Bradley games so far. They play ugly but grind out wins; kennel can play, and i already liked Brown!

I was really surprised that Luuk van Bree did not start for Bradley. Do Braves fans see him as the 6th man this year?

Not sure what Wardle is doing with the starting line-up. I would think you want Kennel and Van Bree in there, but obviously he sees something else. Van Bree also tweaked an ankle in the first game, so I think they are trying to keep his minutes down a little right now.

Bradley is 2-0.

It's not very pretty to watch, but this is definitely a game they would have lost in past years. Delaware tied the game at least twice in the guts of the 2nd half (between 8 and 4 minutes left), and in the past I would think Bradley would have folded under this pressure. Nate Kennel and Luuk Van Bree hit huge 3's during this stretch to regain the lead.

At some point our free throw shooting will cost us a game (15-26 last night) if it doesn't improve. Offense was not pretty, but we got 19 offensive rebounds. This team beat us bad the last 2 years (20+ point beatings). A good win for Bradley.

We head off to the Bahamas to take on a very good Vermont team on Friday.

For the first time in a long time I've actually finding myself innately pulling for MVC teams in the OOC schedule so far.

I think with WSU gone (and sCUm too) it is easier to pull for the conference as we know we need to "band together". It's a nice change.

Really? I always pull for Valley teams, and I think most everybody else does also.
