When we exclude the SWAC/MEAC/D3 invitational Evansville hosts every December, Marty is 42-38 over the last 3 seasons + 2 games. Pretty unimpressive for a "postseason champion".

So, do Evansville fans root AGAINST their own team this season, similar to how I cheer against my Bears for a high draft pick?

In your case, to fire your coach and replace him...

For the record, I do think you try, but they need a good reason to fire him. His 2nd place finish a few years ago gave the administration a false sense of success to keep him around.

Lot of them won't admit it, but they really don't want us to win more than about 4 MVC games this year, just my opinion, they hoping for a final nail in his coffin.

Illinois States defense looks great! Offense hard to say.

But to be fair, and this is not to undercut ISUr's effort, but South Carolina's offense looks AWFUL.

Still, great to see IlSt string together some really good basketball after all they lost. Credit to Muller

43 seconds left. ISUr at the foul line up by 7. It's over. Another p5 goes down to the MVC!

Agreed with Blers, watched most of the game and it's wrapping up now. Really impressed with Yarbrough, he looks great and was getting to the line at ease. I also can't tell if the ILSTU defense was really good, or SC offense was really bad. I hate to be a downer but SC looked like they had no idea what they were doing on offense. ILSTU offense looked pretty good against a team that is known for defense, Williams and Yarbrough really looking good being the catalysts.

Big win for the MVC! Let's keep this rolling, why not raise all of our RPIs.

Edit* Forgot to mention, Phil Fayne always seems to know where to be, and they're doing a good job finding him when the defense sags off or goes over to help on a roll. Lots of easy finishes for him

GREAT win by the Redbirds. They've got a real chance to win this tournament, with Boise State/UTEP and probably Iowa State left ahead of them.

MVC non-con wins:

Arkansas State
Western Kentucky
North Carolina Central
IUPUI
Delaware
Southern
Wright State
SIUE
Winthrop
Indiana
Alcorn State
South Carolina

Losses:

North Carolina
Florida Gulf Coast
Auburn

Watched the last 10 minutes of this game. Very impressive, especially considering the available players for this game. Love it! So nice being in a conference that can compete and win these P5 games!

Don't worry. You won't have that problem in the near future. You're nightmares will be full of Crusaders.

Nice game by the Birds. They will be a tough out this year, and will be right in the race for the MVC crown. Did I mention that Phil Fayne is a first team All Conference pick this year IMO? If I didn't, I should have.

After looking at the Trees today, I guess Indiana is even worse than I thought they were.
