MVC/MWC challenge

I think the matchups/locations set up well for us this time around. Time will tell but we should come out ahead in this years challenge.

My Aces game against the Lobo's just got tougher. We have
lost Ryan Taylor for at least 6 weeks with a broken 5th metatarsal.
Ryan was averaging around 22 pts. a game OUCH

That's a shame. Hope he recovers soon. That game still looks winnable as the Lobos really aren't very good.

All 3 home teams hold serve Day 1. Tomorrow’s the tough one. Need a split of the 4. Northern Iowa’s gotta come through with a big one.

I sure hope the Redbirds can compete well tonight. I might puke out my guts if the whole season goes like the roller coaster we've been riding so far this season.

Neither team looked all that impressive but the Panthers showed a lot of grit in that win. I think we're doomed to be prone to scoring droughts like last year, but so far it appears that our rebounding and defensive resurgence will be able to pull us through.

If Koch and Carlson can give that kind of aggressive production all season long then this should be a fun year. Koch has continued to get better shaking off early fouls. Apparently that McCoy is a lottery pick but he didn't look that impressive going 1-on-1 with Koch on either side of the ball. Guards struggled to find their shots tonight against the length and quickness of UNLV but Koch and Carlson shredded their D throughout the game inside the arc. Very encouraging.
[Insert snappy comeback]
