Drake runs out of gas.

Gives up 14 in double OT to lose 96-89

Why is everyone assuming Bradley can't beat San Diego State?

With the defense the Braves are playing (6th in FG% defense and 5th in scoring defense) they can hang with anyone, or at least any non elite team. But with the quick turnaround and flight to the west coast against a good team it's a tall order.

The past 10 years of Bradley basketball have not been pretty. This whole being decent at basketball thing just started this year. A lot of people are taking a "yeah, I'll believe Bradley is good when I see it" approach.

That being said, San Diego State is a good team and it's an away game on short rest for Bradley. I'm not as concerned with the short rest as I would be in previous years since this team is deep, but the line is -11.5, so that's a pretty good indicator from an objective source.

Looks like we'll end 5-5 as Bradley is down big in San Diego, just not shooting very well.

When you're pretty evenly matched, that's how it tends to work out.

Anyone want to calculate the average travel distance/time as well? I'm sure it wasn't pretty for the visitors...

Straight line measurements from campus to campus - arena to arena may vary by a couple miles but really makes no difference

617 miles - Drake @ Wyoming
676 miles - Colorado State @ Missouri State
933 miles - Air Force @ Indiana State
1,076 miles - Evansville @ New Mexico
1,275 miles - Utah State @ Loyola
1,286 miles- UNLV @ UNI
1,444 miles - Loyola @ Boise State
1,608 miles - Bradley @ San Diego State
1,624 miles - Illinois State @ Nevada
1,781 miles - San Jose State @ Southern Illinois

Average distance is 1,232 miles.
