In a desperation move to keep Gonzaga on board, the WCC has announced it's moving to a 16-game league schedule instead of an 18-game double round-robin...so hopefully our projected upper division teams are talking to theirs.

Without Marty we can only hope on short notice that Walter
can have a tougher schedule.I don't mind playing a SWAC team.
Just as long as Oakland City is off the schedule

Valpo will play in the Myrtle Beach Invitational which includes the following teams:

West Virginia
Wake Forest
Western Kentucky
UCF
St Joseph's
Cal St- Fullerton
1 team TBA

This is a great field and a HUGE scheduling get for the Crusaders!

The Puerto Rico Tip-Off was relocated to Myrtle Beach last year after the hurricanes. Is this the new PRT.

Edit: yes it is. Arkansas is the remaining team by the way.

West Virginia released its nonconference home schedule today and it will host Valpo on November 24.

Yes, as an unbracketed game that is part of the tournament. This means, if I understand it correctly, that there's a chance we'll get to play the Mountaineers TWICE.

If we can do as well as Illinois State and UNI did against similar or stronger fields last year I'll be thrilled.
