Edit: Everyone should catch the last 10 seconds of this game. Shoulda had a chance for overtime as Woodward was fouled on a circus 3pt make after stealing the inbounds pass with 5 seconds to go. Nice showing!

They didn't seem to call over the back either, I agree Woodward should have gone to the line for possible overtime.

As an official for many years, I am still unable to find 'over the back' in the rules book. It is not a rule, yet everyone complains about it.

As for the game, good showing, Drake led for the first 31 minutes. Really frustrated Minnesota's offense but the Gophers were eventually able to make use of their bigs. Thought Drake might fold when down 7 with 4 or so to go but they kept clawing at it, good for them. Agree that there was contact not called on the last shot.

Now let's go for an MVC sweep in the "Big Four Classic"

I was going to mention that earlier but didn't want to be "that guy" this time, but yeah, it's not a rule. Never has been a rule. Never will be a rule.

People say “over the back” because they don’t want to say “they didn’t call the defensive playing for reaching and pushing the offensive player who was boxing out”

Reaching is another word that doesn't appear in a rule book.

Now, if you want to call it a push on the body, sure. Many times "over the back" calls are incorrectly called simply because it looks like the other player was "over the back"

"Faking" is in the rule book. You rules sticklers must have a real hard time watching UNI play defense.

The amount of insecurity Northern Iowa having good seasons strikes in some of you is hilarious. Guess the “UNI will have 200+ RPI down years without WSU” summer narrative has died down. Baby steps!

I meant to say “reaching over and pushing.” Basically trying to describe the foul how it’s meant to be called. Now you can see why just saying “over the back” is way easier.
