Well, We've got a good look at each team out of conference and with only a few more games til conference play starts, I thought this would be a good time to predict where each team will end up heading into Arch Madness.

I came here looking for a thread about this, but thinking it over, I really have no idea. A lot of good teams, no great ones, it appears. I'll agree the Sycs are headed for Thursday. Loyola, UNI, MSU probably not. Beyond that I have no idea.

Last I looked, the Pomeroy predictions had everyone within 4 games, which would not surprise me.

This is crazy, but I love it.

Illinois state is 5-6. While that doesn't look good they have played the third toughest schedule in the nation by opponents win percentage against other teams. And, Nidiya and Romine haven't played yet and Clarence returned from injury yesterday but played limited minutes. Once this team is at full strength I think they will definitely finish top 3, maybe even win the conference.

Bradley will surprise a lot of people this year. Two Freshmen in Childs and Stipanovich give the team a lot of balance, and guys that got a lot of minutes their Freshman and Sophomore years like Van Bree and DLO have been nice surprises this year.

Been watching a ton of MVC hoops on ESPN3, and here's how I see the Valley shaking out:

1. UNI Panthers
2. ISU Redbirds
3. MSU Bears
4. LUC Ramblers
5. VU Crusaders
6. UE Aces
7. SIU Salukis
8. BU Braves
9. DU Bulldogs
10. ISU Sycamores

Think once the Birds and the Aces get their players back, they'll both be a handful. MSU is a bit of an enigma. While both LUC and VU have looked good at times ( both missing key players currently), they along with BU have benefited from fairly weak scheduling. Excellent win for LUC over the Gators.

IF UNI knocks off Xavier, has a 15-3 run in the MVC, and makes it to the championship of Arch Madness, then they might be as good as gold come Selection Sunday.

Always expect the Valley games to be an absolute-tough-as-nails tug of war, so the MVC's top teams will have earned it. Looking forward to the start of conference games....ooo yeah!
