Valley season arrives in full force this week....YES!! Here goes on the week's games in the always unpredictable MVC:

Thursday-
Sycamores > Valpo....Crusaders missing 2 top players and ISU needs to get a W at home
Panthers > SIU....Still missing center Bol, the Salukis put up a fight against homestanding UNI
Bulldogs > BU...Think DU will be a tough out at home and Timmer will come to play

Saturday-
Ramblers > UE...LUC takes this one over an Aces squad that's still missing their PG

Sunday-
Panthers > BU....could get ugly, but most likely a fight as the Braves won't want to go to 0-2
Redbirds > INSU...Sycamores lose the battle of the ISUs as ILSU goes to 2-0
Salukis > DU...SIU evens up their record by downing a determined Bulldogs squad (might be a wild one)
Bears > VU....this one's a toss-up IMHO as MSU has struggled at times, and VU doesn't want to go the cellar

Honestly, this might be one of the tougher years to pick MVC games as it looks like there are plenty of teams that can do some damage. Should make for an exciting MVC season and terrific for fans across the entire Valley....love it!

For all future pickers: PG Marcus Bartley has been having back problems, but should be back in a week. Bol starts regular practice Dec 29--won't be available for UNI but maybe for the next week games--we'll see how he recovers--eventually to be matched with 6-10 Pippen
