Another solid defensive performance tonight as well. 55 points allowed on approx. 65 possessions.

It’s also amazing how athletic the Aces looked tonight with the lineups they had on the floor tonight. We’ll have to see how those 38 minutes will be divided up on Saturday.

I think the tougher OOC helps teams prepare for the conference season. Builds team confidence when the team can play with or beat the p5 teams. I think it helped Drake quite a bit this season. This may be one of the best conference seasons and tournament we have seen as MVC fans. rpi..who cares.

MVCFAN predictions for the upcoming games
52.63% VU beats DU
66.67% MSU beats EU
66.67% ISUr beats LU

I thought EU would have disappeared with the WSU fanbase. I'm sure it was an honest mistake on your part. UE, Evansville, and Aces are the only acceptable choices.

4-1 Drake

2-3 Valparaiso/Evansville/S Illinois

0-5 Northern Iowa

Winner of the league 11-7?

At this point, I'll take Loyola. Having Custer back is a game changer for them.

We were much, much better offensively last night. I think Koch and Carlson playing fewer minutes than usual really helped that as there was a lot better flow to the offense.

Barnes was the difference, dude had a 10 minute stretch where he made everything and was well defended doing it, all the credit in the world to him.

Saturday night is everything. Opponent that, on paper, we should beat handily, at home on National TV. A loss Saturday night would, in my mind, lock us into Thursday and put us firmly into AJ Green watch and wait for next year. A win with Drake coming to Cedar Falls mid-week gives us a glimmer of hope that we can get back into the race like we did last year and the year before.

I am interested to see what Jacobson does. Does he let the athletes play a little more as the season goes on? Does he loosen it up some?

I could have told you that in preseason. Everyone fell in love with the coach, not the players.

Speaking of falling in love with players before the season...Elijah Clarence?

Dude hasn't made a shot in 46 MVC minutes. 0-12 from the floor. Six assists and nine turnovers.

Honestly didn't mean to troll with this. I was shocked he has been this bad. Is he still injured?

Won't happen. He'll go to more ball screen action and more sets. He needs to spend some time talking offense with his buddy Greg.

Maybe he could spend some time talking offense with his buddy Marty instead if you want more ball screens

He played last night but doesn't get many minutes. Maybe had 2-3 at the most. He looks timid. Loyola brought the defense last night, they were in your face all 40 minutes. Impressed.
