Chitown hit it on the head. We have a hard time making shots on the road, and when that happens, our defense let's down, which leads to the blowouts. Our defense gets ramped up even more when we are making shots which is what happens at home.

Are Bradley and Missouri State that different other than MSU having a legit NBA Prospect on their roster? We tied for 6th last year in the conference. We both are undefeated at home in conference, and have not been able to win on the road in conference. I know MSU won at Valpo, but that was without Valpo at full strength. We are now both 5-4 in conference.

Yes, you can check out our board anytime, but the short answer is yes...

We would have beaten them at full strength last night by double digits. Ive never understood why a team we tied in the standings with and everyone back was picked 1st and we were picked 7th. just a ridiculous ranking by almost all prognosticators. MSU is a good team but nowhere near as good as Loyola, who I expect to win the league going away. Until BU learns to take a road punch and respond, we will be in the middle of the standings. Hopefully that starts at the trees on Sunday.

Interesting. So a mental toughness issue? I remember when they played in Gentile we just let them take open threes because nothing was falling for them for most of the game.

I think a big part of MSU as the favorite was that they're junior/senior heavy, athletic across the board, and Alize Johnson. While Bradley is still pretty young across the board, and from what I've seen of Bradley fans they aren't nearly as athletic as fans would want. MSU should be better but they're not. I'd expect Bradley to be higher in the standings next season assuming the wheels don't fall off.

From what I can tell with MSU, Lusk sounds like the ideal assistant coach in terms of his ability to identify talent but maaaaaan...

I don't understand that either, but we'll see where both teams finish at the end of the season.

JoJo was our only truly "athletic" player, but the difference this year is our defense which now I believe is 13th in ppg in the country. As soon as we start to learn to value the ball and not make stupid turnovers(last night was first time this happened in many years), we will be good again. The next three games will really tell us if meaningful February games are a reality for the Braves.

UNI leading Birds by 26 late in the first half. Think that's the surprise of the evening.

Would love to see Loyola’s +/- each game with/without Clayton Custer. Even when he’s not on the stat sheet, his presence makes all the difference. MVP, imo.

One rim at UNI sounds like bombs going off while the other rim is mute.

Surprised how Evansville is handling The Crusaders at Valpo.
