I feel like I keep picking Northern Iowa and assume they will figure it out....maybe they really do kind of suck this year?

This is accurate. We are the worst offensive team in America. Have no idea how we won some of the games we did. We're bad, we're playing and losing on Thursday night. We'll win a few home games down the stretch and get to 7-11 or so, but we're terrible. Embarrassingly terrible considering we have the highest paid coach and biggest budget in the league.

Yet, beat ISUr soundly last week. Could both of us play on Thursday night?

It's a real possibility. Valpo is a lock (how did that coming in and being a contender right away thing work out?). I think the loser of UNI/Evansville Wednesday is a lock. I'm guessing the winner of UNI/Evansville still probably ends up there (caveat being that UNI is already done with Loyola and SIU and the back half of the schedule is pretty favorable.)

Okay, that was a crazy last couple of MVC rounds, so here goes on what looks to be two more:

Tue-
Bears > ISU....It's back up against the wall time for MSU,and the Redbirds are beyond awful on the road
Bulldogs > SIU....DU gets this one at home, but definitely could go either way

Wed-
Crusaders > ISU...Valpo picks up the W as ISU comes back down to earth a bit
Ramblers > BU....Could be an upset the other way, but think LUC takes care on biz in this roadie
Aces > UNI....battle for near the bottom, and UE takes down the Panthers in an oh-so-close one

Sat-
Loyola > MSU...if LUC puts some defensive pressure on the Bears, then this game could get ugly
Redbirds > UE...ISU picks up a must-win home game over the Aces
Panthers > ISU...UNI pulls one out, but the Sycamores continue to be a very tough out
Salukis > VU...SIU takes this one, but Valpo might surprise here
Braves > DU....think the bubble may have burst for the Bulldogs as BU keeps on winning

There are very few easy MVC picks this season, and it's been exciting to see all the teams completely war in conference (think this helps for post-season as MVC will be extremely battle tested). Looking forward to catching all the action across the hoops crazy Valley this week. Should be some really competitive games on ESPN3...cool 8-)

ROCK IT MVC!!
