Second to last week for the regular season in the MVC, and it should be a real barnstormer kind of week as all the teams will be jockeying for position at Arch Madness. Here goes on the pick 'ems:

Tue-
Panthers > UE....UNI has enough in the tank at home, but the Aces really come at the Panthers

Wed-
Bulldogs > ISU....Drake keeps pace, while the Sycamores may be fading a bit
Ramblers > VU...LUC gets this one, but I think the Crusaders give Loyola all they can handle
Braves > ISU...BU takes one over their arch rival (albeit a much depleted Redbird squad)
Salukis > MSU...could be the game of the week as Barry goes for the sweep over Lusk & Co.

Sat-
Salukis > ISU...SIU stays within striking distance of the top, and the Sycamores continue to slide
Redbirds > UNI...tough call on this one, but tipping it to the home team...still a toss-up
Crusaders > BU....Valpo earns the W over a determined Braves team

Sun-
Bears > DU....MSU is playing better and this is a must-win at home, but the Bulldogs just might bite 'em
Aces > LUC...Evansville has played above expectations, so think this one will be extremely competitive

Got called out by a couple posters last round, but I was darn close on my Trees > LUC upset pick. Also, I'm sorry, but Bradley is indeed terrible on the road....not a knock (just calling it by their roadie record).

Anyhow, these final two weeks could be a pretty intense bloodbath in the MVC as all the teams will be kicking their play up a couple notches as they gear toward Arch Madness....LOVE IT!! 8-)

Looking forward to catching all the action across the entire Valley.....KEEP IT ROCKIN' MVC

Well the Birds are down another player on Wednesday vs Bradley. No Bruninga who is out with a concussion.

I think we will have 7 players.

Should I congratulate Bradley now on their first victory in years?

Good for those Redbird fans out their still picking the Birds over BU. Playing without Fayne and Evans hurts, then throw Bruninga into the mix and ISU is looking at 7 guys, not including the walk-on and the scholarship player that chills at the end of the bench.

Have you seen Luke Litwiller?!?! MAN....kid can play, no doubt about it. Dirty Dan will have the boys ready. He knew this was coming, and that's why he went to an 8-man rotation, wanted to have the boys ready for this trip. After the game, ISU fans will be saying Fayne Who? and Luke and the Gas man will household names.
