Custer is really good. So is Johnson. Yarbrough too. Conference champs usually get the nod, unless your name is Jason Daisy....

Still salty from 20 years ago? Jason Daisy could freaking play.

And to think, after 20 years, ISU is still waiting to dance....

Its bizarre. If you and I stood there on the day they gave that award to Jason Daisy and I said one of these programs will have 7 NCAA appearances, 4 wins and a Sweet Sixteen in the next 20 years. We wouldn't have even thought twice about which program that was going to be.

^No question

The fact that it has been 20 years is unacceptable. Things were going so well with Kevin Stallings and then the next two coaching hires were complete misses. Tom Richardson was abysmal and Porter Moser wasn't ready to be a head coach at the MVC level....which is why it is so frustrating to see how he has been at Loyola. The frustration of being a Redbird fan is real.

I'm voting for Timmer because he has had such a great career at Drake (all-time leading scorer) whereas Custer is a transfer who has another year to prove himself. (My vote for Timmer is also a result of my being bias He-ll.)

I also love what Harrison Barnes has done for Indy St.

It will come down to Custer and Barnes next year assuming they maintain their '17-'18 numbers.

Harrison Barnes is in the Valley? How the hell did I miss that?

And your reasoning sucks.

That he could. Rico Hill got his the following year but ZiMI, he should have been back to back.

Indiana State would be leading the MVC if Harrison Barnes was on the team.
