Anyone ask Smart about “if you want to drop out next year, you can...we will welcome you back with open arms in March when we are going to the NCAA”? Surely Wyatt pulled through?

It ain't going to be a D2 coach, nor should it be right now.

I'm sure they're fine coaches though

Yaklich from Michigan is the best option IMO

Hardly; not even a blip on the radar.

NO! I am discussing possible good coaching candidates to replace Lusk.

You and scotte101 are two of the hard cases on the BEARNATION. I doubt either of you know much Bear history from earlier than 2010---probably when you were students--if that far back. Believe me, BB in 1950 was the same as BB in 2018 (dribble, pass, shoot, score, play defense). Plus those teams 20/50 60 years ago played before packed crowds (5OOO fans) in McDonald--do you even know where McDonald is located.

I mention Vanatta and Mathews only to highlight that there were/are coaches who can successfully move from NAIA and D2. to D1. Thus I offer up the names and qualifications/ records of McCollum and Boschee as valid candidates.

And All-MVC Fan agrees with me on McCollum. Doubt if he knows much about Boschee.

LOL. nice try though

Basketball is far different than it was 20 years ago. It's funny to even have this discussion.

At times like these, it is worth remembering that even failed basketball coaches can be a positive influence on a young man's life. MSU's Greg Williams expressed his appreciation for Lusk and his assistants over the weekend and I decided it was worth sharing.

Wins and losses are important, but so too is being a respectable man, even when the seat you occupy is getting hot.
