That's a whole lot of Tier 2!

Thanks for sharing Adunk. Detailed info on each Valley team and
interesting deep dive on the Birds Zone defense!

I can't believe they didn't include on the All Newcomer Team.

Meh. Missing some things but all in all good reporting. Drake isn't missing all 5 starters from a season ago and Allante Holston isn't even included for Indiana State in the preview.

Look, I have no problem with the writer predicting the Bears at 8. There is a lot of unknown when it comes to the Bears, but right here is where he lost his credibility for me....

"Ridder is the real reason Bears’ fans should be giddy, as he enters Springfield with an unprecedented amount of buzz. A former high-school stand out in Columbia, MO, Ridder was the top-rated Missouri prospect entering college when he initially took his talents to Xavier. Interestingly enough, the Rick Pitino saga may have been the catalyst for Ridder returning back to the Show-Me state, which started a chain of dominoes that culminated in Chris Mack leaving Xavier and ultimately brought Ridder back closer to home."

Ridder is a hometown Springfield kid, and he transferred way before Mack was named coach at Louisville.

But he is right, I am pretty giddy about Ridder coming back home to play.

I just read my post and the player on ISU squad who was overlooked was Copeland.

Things we will never know. What if the head coach would have been the only person to leave the Aces program this year? And if I had wings, I could fly.

I know ISU is high on Copeland and he had a year to rs and learn the system, and he may really have a good year, but it's understandable he wasn't mentioned. Hell even P-5+1 transfers like Williams and Fazekas didn't make it along with jucos like Murphy and Mohammed who were much higher ranked jucos coming out than Copeland who was about #70.The guys who made it were a 4**** frosh, a couple big east transfers, and a couple proven D-1 transfers. Tough comp; lot of talent coming into the Valley this year. A guy like S. Wojcik for the Bears who is 6'10, can shoot the ball and is gonna be a really good player at some point, or Josh Webster who 247 Sports ranked as the best juco pg coming out in 2017 are hardly a blip on most radars, and that's ok. They're all just unrealized potential at this point.
