Call me crazy but with Bol and McGill coming back I'm super high on the SIU team. Smithpeters is a bit of a loss but McGill will replace him AND they get Bol back. Bol and Pippen (I'm not convinced it's his unlce and not his father. anyway...) together will be amazing to watch. Bol was expected to come back around the beginning of the year and I was like why bring him back now and waste a year? Smart move on Hinson. Could be Hinson's first trip to the dance even without a MVC tournament finale win.

It's way too early for predictions but come on man....Drake 2nd?
They are losing 5 of their top 6 scorers.

It should be a battle of the 4 Illinois teams again.

1. Southern Illinois--Time for SIU fans to apologize to Barry; the guy is snake bit, but he can coach.
2. Bradley--Automatically leapfrogs over Drake, so that gets BU in the top 4. Probably the favorite for 2019-20 with all the sophs and frosh. Can Wardle get them there earlier? Maybe.
3. Loyola--Custer. And Moser is a better coach than I thought.
4. Illinois State--Okay on talent, questionable on everything else.
5. UNI--They'll be back
6. Valparaiso--Nice frosh and a solid program. They will start to emerge.
7. Indiana State--A tough out. Lansing does what he can with not much support.
8. Missouri State--Not a knock on their program, but there will be a lot of adjusting and growing pains after a disappointing run.
9. Drake--Love Niko, but come on, man--losing 5 seniors. Upper tier is a pipe dream.
10. Evansville--they need a new direction in an improving league. Looks like they're not going to get one.
