Curious to know what you base your comment about Ricks on WuDrWu...

I wonder if the Creighton fans will stand more than 20 seconds at a time in this one?

Admittedly I haven't seen MSU all that often, but when I have, Ricks reminded me of the SIU guards of yesteryear, or at least the early 00s. Tough as nails and in your face.....in a word, disruptive.

Am I to take it you don't think he's that good?

Honestly, we are waiting for the Ricks from the last 4-5 games at the end of last season to show up. Not to say Ricks isn't good, but he has been abused more than a few times on the defensive side of the ball this year already. I haven't seen enough of the other Valley PG's so I was just curious as to why you thought he might be the best defensive PG

Not gonna happen...we'll be too busy putting Grey Poupon on our bratwurst while drinking out beers. Seriously though, I never get any concessions at the game.

Though a CU fan, I think MSU has more guns...I'll take MSU by 6 in this one.

I do hope I'm wrong though!!!

This will be a great test and possibly the toughest home match besides BYU for the Jays all year. I dont see Creighton being able to contain both Weems and Mallett. In the past few games the CU staff has been able to keep other teams stars off their game (Carmichael, Ferdette, Rice) but like BYU, MSU has plenty other options where Drake and Ill St. did not.

I personally think Kyle Weems has the biggest upside in the Valley besides Echenique, and since O-hawk has graduated the Jays faithful need a new villian who will continually stab them in the heart, Weems is that man.

Jays - 61
Bears - 66

For the Jays to win tonight they will need 3 of the 4 key players (Young, McD, Lawson, Echenique) to have monster games, both on offense and defense.

Jays Keys:
- Keep Leonard cold from 3
- Frustrate Weems (switch Korver/Runnels/McD)
- Keep Gregory on the floor

HUGE game.

Perhaps the inside track for a 2 seed in St Louis. Jays need it and get it - 70-66.

As a Shocker fan, this game is one for "pick your poison." Don't think I'm ready to "pick" anything because either option is trouble for us. Good luck to both tonight. I will be at Koch Arena, but have this one on the DVR.

Weems is tough in Omaha. Echenique/Jays have now had plenty of time to put things together. Someone needs to get hot in place of Wragge. Slowwwww down game. MSU will play hard. Jays 66-59
