Coaching Awards
Posted: March 9th, 2021, 5:11 pmMissouri States Dana Ford is one of 25 finalist for 2 separate National Coaching Awards. The first is the "Skip Prosser Man of the Year " award which is awarded for both success on the court along with exemplary involvement in the community. Greg Lansing is also among the 25 finalist for this award.
Ford is also among 25 finalist for the "Ben Jobe Award" which goes to the nations top minority coach . He won the award once previously at Tennessee State. My guess is this award will go to either Juwan Howard of Michigan or Mike Boynton of Oklahoma State. Boynton is also a finalist for the Skip Prosser Award.
Congrats to Dana for being considered for both; he and his wife have been very visible and active members of the Springfield community, spearheading a number of humanitarian endeavors. Good guy.
