UNI with a workman like 83-76 win over Northern Illinois.

Bowen Born led UNI with 30. Freshman Landon Wolf added 19.

This offense has a chance to really be something.

Looking forward to the game with Bradley on Wednesday night!

Evansville beat Robert Morris 54-53. After being down 12 at the half, the Aces held RM to 16 points in the second half. Good win to end 5 game losing streak. The Aces finish the MTE and 5 consecutive road games tomorrow against Fairfield.

Setting up for some interesting first-game conference matchups this week:

Can UIC win one against Missouri State?
Can Indiana State keep it close against Drake?

Belmont takes a close one from the Sun Belt this afternoon. GA State came roaring back after Belmont was up by 11. We look to have all of our players back from injury except for one. A couple are not in game shape yet so their minutes are few, but at least they are back.

Now it's on to our first games in the MVC.

I don't know, at home I give UIC a solid chance to win. Bears are struggling health wise and consistency wise on the court. The loss of pg Lee was big for them as far as late game management. Just as they get 1 guy healthy, they lose another so far, as their top rated transfer, James Graham , just started playing but then leading scorer to date Chance Moore, misses today's action with a hip pointer. Like a number of Valley teams, Bears have not had their top 6-8 players all available for a game yet, which is exacerbated by the fact they're almost all new to begin with. And a large segment of Bear fans are once again totally in the "fire Dana" mood with a 3-3 start . Ah college basketball !

Nice win for Valpo against a good James Madison team. Might get a 5-0 Valley day if Evansville can win.

Sycamores score over 100 points for the 2nd time this season and pick up another non conference win for the MVC, defeating Trinity Christian 105-68

Looking forward to the MVC season!

At home, it's not totally out of the question. The guys are starting to figure things out and moving the ball more. They don't have that one player you can key on to shut the team down. Big Cam Fens makes it tough to score inside. The mainstay for the team right now is our defense. We lead the Valley in blocks per game (5.3), 3-point field goal percentage defense (26.6%) and steals. The Flames are not as bad as a lot of the Valley fans thought we would be when we got the invite. Time will tell though.

How does this team go 9min in the second half against UNCW and 11min against Ball St without scoring a FG? Injuries are one thing, but you have put the ball in the bucket. Chucking 3's won't get it done.
