OK, but there's still MANY schools ahead of UE, which was the point.

Complete transparency is that I live in Evansville, donate to certain UE athletic programs, and thoroughly want them to succeed. However, after attending UE games over the years and 2 USI games this year, the product on the floor and the atmosphere at USI games is far better.

Yes. The USI arena is nicer than most in DI. When USI announced their DI move, they instantly became the best DI program in Evansville, Indiana. Hopefully the crosstown competition lights a fire under the Aces to get their act together.

Illinois State just played a game at Horton Field House in front of a large crowd. Think it was a positive move by their marketing department. Nothing against UE, but they haven't exactly raised the bar, or enhanced the profile of the conference since joining the MVC.

They fact that they haven't brought back the sleeves and fully embraced the throwback look that the world is going for right now is mind boggling. Lean into it. Do what you did when you were relevant because you haven't been for 30 years at this point.

Just do something to make yourself different.

Here's a story from a couple of years ago re: the "sleeves" and why they aren't/haven't come back:

There's a few -- seven to be exact. Here are the updated numbers. Do you really want to be on a top 10 list with Chicago State?

'21 FT Enrollment School ......... Conference
932 ............... Presbyterian ...... Big South
961 ............... Chicago St ....... Independent
1131 .............. Mississippi Valley St SWAC
1347 .............. Coppin St ........ MEAC
1354 .............. Queens ........... A-Sun
1506 .............. St. Francis (PA).. NEC
1521 .............. Wagner .......... NEC
1526 ............. Evansville ....... MVC
1612 .............. UMES ............ MEAC
1652 .............. VMI............... Southern

In good news, Evansville owns one of the two NCAA tournament wins by any of those 10 schools since the field was expanded to 64. The bad news is there are only two tournament wins to share in 40 years.
