Congratulations to Belmont's Ben Sheppard for being selected in last night's NBA Draft. The Indiana Pacers picked him in the first round, pick No. 26. Best of luck!

I'm proud on how he's done in the last couple of years. I hope he does great things in the NBA and represents the MVC well.

Very cool for Sheppard and Belmont. Always good to have some proof of concept that you get seen by the people that matter. Pro scouts don’t just base their decisions by ordering pizza and seeing who is on ESPN2 every week.

Right. The whole idea of "exposure" isn't relevant in 2023. If you can play, they will find you.

Former INSU Wing Cameron Henry has made the Charlotte Hornets Summer League roster.
So depending on summer league schedule, they might play against each other again but this time at the pro level.

Consider Sheppard was drafted and Timme and Tshiebwe weren't . All ya need to know.
