NJ was back in the lineup tonight for no particular reason (or reason he hasn't been) and he energizes the team. Beating the Aces doesn't mean the ship has been righted but it was a step in the right direction. There were guys who have been prominent lately who didn't see the floor tonight and guys who haven't got much play lately who were prominent tonight. Ford just throws darts and hit the board a few times tonight.

Drake with a great defensive game plan. Xavier Johnson finished with about 17, but really wasn't much of a factor.

DeVries with another 30+ point game for the 'dogs and Brodie with double digit rebounds.

18 point wins on the road are always welcome.

Is SIU any good outside of Johnson?

Who knows. Just looks like a lot of inconsistency in the Valley this year.

Good enough to be in the 2nd tier of teams in the Valley but not good enough to be in that top tier. Been that way for too long

I thought Ebube would be a bigger contributor than he has been. I liked him a lot when he committed to SIU.

Now I'm sure he will make four threes and burn Bradley next week - but if Trent Brown is playing 40 minutes a game for you that's not a really great sign, IMO.

And just like that, Indiana State gains a Q1 win (and loss) because of Drake and Bradley dominating last night.

Valpo up 28-20 at Redbird Arena.

A team in another league allowed 112 points in regulation today. Not mentioning who.

A victory for the City of Joliet as native Roger Powell Jr notches his first MVC win 90 miles down I-55.

Not a single ISU player ended up in double digits in any statistical category.

Congratulations to Powell for his first league win.
