Former Missouri State men's basketball coach Charlie Spoonhour is on the waiting list for a lung transplant at Duke Medical Center, his son, Jay Spoonhour, said Tuesday.

From CaringBridge.com Wednesday on Charlie Spoonhour "Charlie has been released from the hospital and is doing well. He will stay in the Durham area for the next 4 to 6 months to continue his rehab assignments. He wants everyone to know that the letters, cards and well wishes have really been appreciated and have helped him stay optomistic about the future..."
