Each week we will open a poll for users to predict the end of season finish for the MVC 2010-2011 basketball season. We will work in reverse order, concluding with the predicted MVC champion chosen by our users between the last two teams remaining in week 9 (just in time for MVC media days).

Last week, Drake was selected as the 8th place finisher.

This will probably be a battle of ISU's. I personally think that ISUr has a chance to be top4 again, but nothing is proven and a preseason choice of a Thursday night game is not any sort of a shock or insult.

I voted for Indiana St. If ISU moves to the next round I definitely vote them #6 though. I think there is too much potential to not give the Redbirds the benefit of the doubt when going up against Indiana St. here.

But this poll really isn't about Redbirds vs. Sycamores. It's about Redbirds vs. MVC and Sycamores vs. MVC. I went with the Redbirds over the Sycs for 7th because I think the trees' guard play will serve them better over the course of the conference season.

I never really like that feature......it caused some of the posters over on VT to make personal attacks based on the way somebody voted. I'm not sure why anybody would care who voted which way.

If people want to talk about who they voted for, and why, good for them....but, I think people should be able to vote anonymously without wondering if they're going to get attacked for the way they voted.

I don't see how what I did is any different than what you did. I decided it was between the birds and sycs as well and see the potential in the young talent the birds have as paying off more in the long run, where you see the guard play as carrying the sycs further.
