I'll steal OkoboJay's list and modify with a few extra candidates:

- Sam Maniscalco, or Andrew Warren if he decides he really wants to. Taylor Brown could do it if he avoids issues.
- Toure Murry, maybe JT Durley?
- Kwadzo Ahelegbe
- Kyle Weems
- Kenny Lawson Jr.
- John WIlkins. I'm saying this mostly to add some jinx power to the post.

Out of this list, I'm going with Taylor Brown. His numbers for both scoring and rebounding were better than almost anyone on this list. If he can avoid suspensions, etc, he could be a solid candidate.

Kwadzo.

If hype were a factor, GE would win hands down.

The Colt Ryan suggestion made me :D .

No mention of Carmichael at all? I know he is young but he's a stud. Granted, his team may not vie for the top 3 or so teams of the Valley but he may be a guy similar to "Andre Dawson"...

As far as preseason goes I'll take Weems.

At the end of the season I'm looking for it to be JT Durley. If he wants it, it's his.

I'll go with Echineque as NOY. He certainly has the gaudiest credentials (query: is he eligible only playing 2/3 of the season? Probably since he will play the entire conference season.).

FOY I just don't know as I don't know who has the gaudiest frosh...doesn't Drake have a stud from Chicago? I'll go with what's-his-name.

Not from Chicago, but Rayvonte Rice from Champaign, IL was the Gatorade player of the year in Illinois and finished 2nd in voting for Illinois Mr Basketball. Guy doesn't look like any basketball player I've seen in the MVC.....6-4, weighed about 250 when he arrived on campus, but less than 10% body fat. He's easily #1 on Drake's team in every weightlifting category. Very athletic and can shoot the 3 real well. When we saw him play in summer league, a buddy of mine said it looked like he was wearing a Batman suit.

Here he is going after a rebound vs Van Deest in a pick up game...

Nope....in order to be called GodRiceGod, we'd need to see people making predictions such as 1st-team all-MVC as a freshman, multiple POY awards before his career is over, etc.....as happened with a previously annointed player. 8-)

For me, it's way to early to predict how he'll do.
