The team who is unsuccessful first almost always loses. That happened again here, as the second CU shot was saved, and the third was over the crossbar.

Probably bad of me, a fan who has watched more MVC soccer matches than basketball games, to not have known this game was happening tonight, until the end of OT.

It makes for a dramatic ending, but I'd just as soon see them keep playing until someone scores.

Shoot-outs or penalty kicks are the stupidest ideas every. Just keep playing OTs til someone scores the Golden Goal.

I'm only a casual fan of soccer and hockey, but it's killed enjoyment of either sport for me. Reward a hard fought game in a team sport by forcing someone to win a ridiculous one-on-one contest? At least hockey has tried experimenting with some exciting OT rules that still emphasized team play (4 on 4 or 3 on 3 extra periods)

Eh...maybe I'm just down the Jays didn't pull it out.
