Saluki Baseball Coach Dan Callahan passes away

Longtime Saluki Baseball coach Dan Callahan lost his battle with cancer today. Those around the League know that Coach Cal was one of the best people you would ever want to meet. A better man you will never meet. The Valley lost one of its truest ambassadors today. Cal was just 52.

Very sad day. Coach Cal was a wonderful guy and a good baseball man. Terrific ambassador for the Salukis and the MVC.

Heard about this via Rodney Watson. I guess it was expected, but still my best wishes to the family and to the team. I enjoyed seeing his SIU teams when they came to Evansville... guess last time was in 2009. Never met the gentleman personally, though.
