Meet gets underway tomorrow in Oregon, 18 MVC athletes will be competing.

Day 1 results for the men, leading the way was Josh Freeman for Southern Illinois, Josh was 4th place, saving his best throw for last.
UNI's Justin Baker was 20th in the shot put, earning honorable mention all american
Indiana State's David Timlin set a new Indiana State school record in the men's 1500 trials, running 3:42.22, but finished 9th in his heat, earning 2nd team all american honors and missed making the finals by .80 seconds.
in the men's 400, Illinois State's Anderson Devonish was 20th in 46.72, earning honorable mention all american.
in the men's 200, UNI's Brandon Carnes placed 22nd in 20.93 to earn honorable mention all american
in the men's Hammer Throw, WSU's Weston Cottrell was 21st, throwing 204-06", earning honorable mention all american honors
Men's finals are Friday, there won't be any MVC men in the track events that day

only men's event today was the conclusion of the decathlon, no MVC men were in the event

just one MVC male competing today, Luke James from SIU starting in the triple jump on espn3 now

bad series for Luke James of SIU, he'll finish outside the top 16 and will be honorable mention all american
