These guys also think UNI is the favorite despite the season-ending knee injury to Jacqui Kalin.

Well it's not like Jacqui Kalin went 17-1 against the Valley last year. The UNI Panthers did. This certainly hurts us but it's not the end of the world. Those girls DOMINATED the Valley last year and should have knocked off a very strong Michigan St. team in the tourney. They are the conference's best team

it's preseason predictions.

who the frack cares?
if the team is good, they'll prove it on the court, whether they're picked to finish first or last in conference.

Time for Nyla to show she is coach of the year material. If she can't get these girls to the tournament then she might just not ever have what it takes. I expect big things from the LBs this year. The injury situation at UNI opened the door for us to make it our time.

Went to the Lady Bear home opener vs. #9 Louisville. MSU opened up an 11-point lead close to halftime and led for 31 minutes of the game, then simply ran out of gas against Louisville. Their post presence was too much and some sloppy mistakes near the end of the game let this game slip away. Bears were in the game until the end, though, and take notice, defense is VASTLY improved.

I don't believe in moral victories but there were positives to take away from that performance. Nyla did an okay job for the most part. Would have been a huge win to get on the resume but you have to finish.

UNI women defeated Seattle in the WBI semifinal, 68-64. Other semifinal is yet to be played but there is a possibility of hosting the championship game next Tuesday @ 7pm if their opponent is Manhattan. While I'm sure the ladies sights were higher this year it would be great for all of our seniors to end their season with a win and tournament championship!
