UNI hosted defending national champion Alabama (and lost) over the weekend as part of the UNI-Dome Classic. There were over 5000 in the Dome and just a few hundred short of an all time NCAA record. Pretty cool. The Alabama Coach is a UNI alum.

Softball in the UNI-Dome is very "unique," for lack of a better term.

I've seen a good number of softball games in the dome (Actually a pretty nice place to watch a game) but that was something that I'll never witness again. That was very awesome to be a part of as a fan

I'd like to see them seize the momentum from this weekend and make this a really big time tournament. Use some of Coach Murphy's connections to get some big time teams to come north for a weekend...
