NCAA track championships

Wednesday the NCAA track meet begins in Eugene, Oregon. 11 MVC women will be competing.

The MVC will be looking to crown an NCAA champion for the 10th straight meet (indoor/outdoor combined).

right off the bat a good showing for the MVC in the women's hammer throw, MVC throwers go 2-8-10-23 with ILS's Brittany Smith getting 2nd.

Price (SIU), Fortney (SIU), and Johnson (INS) were the others.

Sade Sealy from ILS was 6th in her heat of the 400 and will not advance to the finals.

Indiana State freshman Katie Wise was 7th in her heat of the women's 100 in 11.48, she ended 21st overall and will not make the finals.

Aliphine Tuliamuk-Bolton end the night for the MVC women with a 2nd place finish in the 10,000 meter run

never did see Heptathlon standings

Zillmer (ILS) in the steeplechase at 7:35pm

Friesen (WSU) and Knodle (UNI) in the heptathlon.

Indiana State's Nicole Hope finishes in a tie for 13th in the women's pole vault.

Also just ending the women's heptathlon, still waiting on final scores. And Aliphine Tuliamuk-Bolton competes for WSU in the 5000 tonight.

women's Heptathlon has gone final. Tanya Friesen gets 5th for WSU, Paige Knodle ends in 17th for UNI
