Sadly the MVC's streak of having at least one NCAA track champion has come to an end as Brittany Smith (ILS) and Felisha Johnson (INS) were 2nd and 3rd in the shot put. Oklahoma's Tia Brooks, who has been the best at this event for years, won easily. Kim Fortney from SIU was 14th.

Overall not a bad meet for the MVC with three 2nd place finishes and a 3rd. Others scored, but we just didn't have a champion this year on the men's or women's side.

yeah, the MVC was, by far, the best of the non BCS schools at this years' meet. Just wish we could have had a winner on either side to extend the streak, we were close though! Just have to start again next indoor season!
