WSU wins MVC tennis title
Posted: April 27th, 2014, 9:10 pmBLOOMINGTON, Ill. – No. 54 Wichita State defeated Drake by a score of 4-0 to win the 2014 Missouri Valley Conference (MVC) Team Championship on Sunday at the Evergreen Racquet Club in Bloomington. The Shockers moved to 19-6 on the year while the Bulldogs dropped to 16-6.
With the win, the Shockers earned their sixth straight MVC Team Championship and the MVC’s automatic NCAA Tournament bid. This is the eighth time in the last nine seasons in which the Shockers won the MVC Team Championship and earned the MVC’s automatic NCAA Tournament bid.
