only one MVC women's participant today, Leigh Petranoff, Illinois State grad, is in the javelin

Petranoff places 9th in the women's Javelin and will not make the olympic team.

So the MVC women will be represented in Rio by SIU's Deanna Price and Indiana State's Felisha Johnson.

The MVC has another olympian, this one from Canada, Missouri State's Marissa Kurtimah will be running for Canada on the 4 x 100 relay team!
