2 quick things...
1. We don't call ourselves the robes. We wear robes.
Others were coats, windbreakers, ponchos, parkas, etc.
It's just a wardrobe preference.

I don't know what the big deal is, I wouldn't wear a red robe, but that's just me. Jerry Lawler wore a blue robe and it worked for him, so I say if you have the robe, wear it!
