Strengths:
White is a solid inside player who has added ten to 15 pounds to his frame since his sophomore year, which has keyed a terrific junior season. He is a fundamentally strong player who has shown expanded shooting range beyond the three-point arc. He is an effective low post performer who is a hard worker and not afraid to be physical.

Weaknesses:
He needs to continue to improve his athleticism to defend quick forwards, which could move him from a mid major plus player to a possible high major prospect.

Bottom Line:
He is skilled offensive player who has made strides on the defensive end. He is a terrific get for Gregg Marshall's Wichita State program.

Notes

This is one recruit I wanted to get very bad, and I am glad he decided to be a Shocker.

White is averaging something like 28 points and 12 boards in Minnesota's largest school (I think) HS division.

WSU is going to be a bit raw at PF next year, but with White and Hall, there's hope.

Jake White was mentioned in this ESPN article recently, along with UNI commit Matt Bohannon. I know UNI recruited White for a while.
