Nice mix in the class:

Point-Mitchell Combo-Lyle Shooting-Bohannon Small Forward-Singleton Power Forward-Tuttle

Replacing Ahelegbe, O'Rear and Dunham will be tough. But by accounts Mitchell, Singleton and Tuttle will probably be college ready physically when they step on campus, not sure on Lyle, but Bohannon will certainly know what it takes as his older brothers can give him primers.

Again, no one really knows what they will do until they get thrown out there, but it looks as if UNI is continuing to find players that fill roles in the system and not just get glossed over by stars.

Hopefully none of them have fathers who are D-I coaches.

NORTHERN IOWA

Matt Bohannon, 6-3 guard, Marion (Linn-Mar) — Helped team to a 24-2 record last season by averaging 17.4 points and 5.4 rebounds; shot 45.5 percent from the field, 37 percent from 3 and 76 percent from the line; was also a first-team all-conference pick.

JeVon Lyle, 6-2 guard, Kansas City, Mo. (Archbishop O’Hara) — Averaged 12.2 points, 3.4 rebounds and 4.1 assists as a junior, earning first-team all-conference and all-district honors; shot 69 percent from the field, 47 percent from 3 and 76 percent from the line.

Deon Mitchell, 6-1 guard, Pflugerville, Texas — First-team all-district for the second straight season as a junior after averaging 17.6 points, 5.5 rebounds and 6.5 assists; shot 82 percent from the free-throw line; team has had a 78-21 record with Mitchell in uniform.

Marvin Singleton, Jr., 6-6 forward, Hopkins, Minn. — Helped team win back-to-back state titles as a sophomore and junior; averaged 18.5 points and 8.5 rebounds last season and was a second-team all-metro pick; earned all-tournament honors and was last season’s state championship game MVP; team has been 88-4 over the past three seasons.

Seth Tuttle, 6-8 center, Sheffield (West Fork) — Earned Sunday Register first-team Class 2-A all-state honors as a junior after averaging 20.7 points, 10.7 rebounds and 3.7 assists for a 22-1 team; shot 64.9 percent from the floor and 70.8 percent from the free-throw line last season; also played quarterback; committed to the Panthers in May.
