BEARS SIGN 6'9 POLISH TWINS

Postby BEARZ77 » April 13th, 2018, 2:47 pm

Szymon and Jan Wojcik , a pair of 6'9 twins from Poland have given verbals to MSU for the coming season. This past year they played in France , and previously were on the under 17 National Team for Poland. We've seen videos on both so have some idea as to size and skill level, but have little in the way of scouting reports in English. Their dad Adam played international ball I think. Both are rated 3 stars; they look to be in the 6'9 215-220 range. Szymon is the more polished offensively, is a very good 3 point shooter and looks like a classic stretch 4 type. Jan is more aggressive with the ball driving to the hole. Both are very good ball handlers in the open court, long, agile and fluid. Szymon reminded me a lot of Peters from Valpo 2 years ago. They are not stereotypical stiff Euro style bigs; more agile, fluid, good in the open court type players. Bear nation is ecstatic about these players and our move into the European market for recruiting.

Getting a report today from Eurohoops, that this is not a done deal[ of course verbals never are] Not sure what to think; been hard getting info from the start other than a tweet by Evan Daniel of 247 Sports about the initial verbals.

DONE DEAL ! Big recruiting win early for Coach Dana Ford. These kids are very skilled 6'8-6'9 guys with international experience. Bears still have 1-2 scholys to give; have heard there maybe a quality grad transfer big to come. Still kicking tires on a couple HS kids , 2 guards, 1 frontcourt guy. But regardless, with the two juco wings and now the twins for 2018, and Freeman for 2019 already committed, it's been a good 1st month for HCDF.

They seem very similar to Luuk van Bree at Bradley. Luuk has had an up and down career but he is a legit MVC player.

Just heard CDF on a radio interview; stated both are legitimate 6'10 walking in the door. 18 years old and need to develop strength, but are very athletic and skilled.

Should be incredibly confusing to watch Drake play MSU next year with two sets of twins running around the floor, haha.
