6-5 WG Jimmy Beane gives Commitment to SIU tonight--from Prep school in Florida in 2018 class--yes I know we'll probably have one guy (Austin Weiher) who averaged only 2 minutes per transfer--he is graduating

Local Carbondale beat writer Todd Hefferman says Beane could have re-classified as a 2019 recruit but decided that SIU was going to have a great year and he wanted to get in on it now.

Beane weighs about 215 by the way, at 6-5

I've heard he will be playing next year. We need another Fletcher-like scorer--as far as being a bit daffy,I think his Uncle Anthony will keep him in line
