OT: Cy-Hawk trophy - "a little weird for a sports trophy"

Gotta love the originality that went into the Cy-Hawk Trophy to be given to the winner of the Iowa State cs Iowa annual football game.

Looks like the new sponsor must have weighed in on the appearance.

The new trophy comes with a partnership with the Iowa Corn Growers Association, the Iowa Corn Promotion Board and Learfield Sports.

"This is literally a work of art representing the people and characteristics that are uniquely Iowan," said Craig Floss, chief executive officer of Iowa Corn.

Since when are corn farmers with families "uniquely Iowan"?

This trophy is so corny, I hope Iowa State wins and gets stuck with it.
It has no place in the same trophy case as 11 B1G trophies.

Ha! Got the sarcasm. Trophy games in general are lame and gimmicky. If you need a trophy to bump up a rivalry...then you need a new rival. This however is embarassing even Panther fans from association
"Got it into Moran, final seconds TICK AWAY!! PANTHERS WIN! PANTHERS WIN! Oh BABY, I LOVE THIS TEAM!!! The UNI Panthers have just SHOCKED the College Basketball World. DOWN GOES KANSAS! DOWN GOES KANSAS!!"

Anybody think the new Nebraska-Iowa trophy will be any better?

Look, I'm a little slow today, I just switched to Sanka. But could someone give me one good reason this thread should be here?
There are three rules that I live by, never get less than 12 hours sleep, never gamble with a guy who has the same first name as a city and never get involved with a chick with a tattoo of a dagger on her body. Stick to that and everything else is gravy!

Okay, I vented a little and questioned why this thread was here, now some fun and challenging trivia. In my original post, I quoted this movie line, "I'm a little slow today, I just switched to Sanka." Without cheating and using Google,Yahoo or any search engine, and avoiding IMDB, name the movie and character. Bonus points if you can name the now deceased actor.

Anyone between 42 and 55 should jump all over it.
